# GlassJar > GlassJar is cloud accounting software for small businesses, bookkeepers and accounting firms. GlassJar also publishes six free financial tools that run entirely in the visitor browser: three financial statement templates and three pricing calculators. No account is needed to use any of them, and the figures entered are never transmitted to GlassJar. All six tools calculate on the page. An email address is requested only to download a finished document as PDF, Excel or CSV. ## Free financial statement templates - [Profit and Loss Statement Generator](https://www.glassjar.io/tools/profit-and-loss-statement-generator/): Builds a multi-step profit and loss statement. Computes gross profit, operating income and net income from the revenue and expense lines entered. - [Income Statement Template](https://www.glassjar.io/tools/income-statement-template/): The same statement under the name lenders and accountants use. Multi-step format with gross profit and operating income subtotals. - [Balance Sheet Template](https://www.glassjar.io/tools/balance-sheet-template/): Assets, liabilities and equity as at one date, with a live check that assets equal liabilities plus equity. - [All financial statement templates](https://www.glassjar.io/tools/free-financial-statement-templates/): Hub page covering the three statement tools and what each is for. ## Free pricing calculators - [Markup Calculator](https://www.glassjar.io/tools/markup-calculator/): Solves for markup, price or cost from any two of them, converts markup to margin, and builds a multi-product pricing sheet with a blended margin. - [Margin Calculator](https://www.glassjar.io/tools/margin-calculator/): Gross margin from cost and price, or a price from a target margin, plus blended margin across a product line. - [Break-Even Calculator](https://www.glassjar.io/tools/break-even-calculator/): Break-even units and revenue from fixed costs, price and variable cost, plus the volume needed to reach a profit target. - [All pricing calculators](https://www.glassjar.io/tools/free-pricing-calculators/): Hub page covering the three pricing tools and how they relate. ## Formulas these tools use - Markup percent = (Price minus Cost) divided by Cost, times 100. - Margin percent = (Price minus Cost) divided by Price, times 100. - Markup to margin: divide the markup by 100 plus the markup. A 50 percent markup is a 33.3 percent margin. - Margin to markup: divide the margin by 100 minus the margin. A 40 percent margin needs a 66.7 percent markup. - Price from a target margin = Cost divided by (1 minus the margin as a decimal). - Contribution margin per unit = Price minus Variable cost per unit. - Break-even units = Fixed costs divided by Contribution margin per unit. - Break-even revenue = Fixed costs divided by the Contribution margin ratio. - Units for a profit target = (Fixed costs plus Target profit) divided by Contribution margin per unit. - Net income = Revenue minus Cost of goods sold minus Operating expenses, plus or minus other income and expenses. - Balance sheet identity: Assets = Liabilities + Equity. ## About GlassJar - [Pricing](https://www.glassjar.io/pricing/): Plan tiers and what each includes. - [Compare](https://www.glassjar.io/quickbooks-alternative-accounting-software/): How GlassJar compares with other small business accounting software. - [Insights](https://www.glassjar.io/insights/): Articles on bookkeeping, pricing and small business finance. ## Optional - [XML sitemap](https://www.glassjar.io/sitemap_index.xml): Every indexable URL on the site.
