This page is where you control how GlassJar uses your information. Everything here is free, takes effect immediately, and does not change what you pay or what you can access on our site.
Opt out of sharing for advertising
GlassJar does not sell your personal information for money.
We do use cookies that share identifiers and browsing activity with advertising platforms, including Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok, so we can measure our marketing and reach people who have visited our site. California law and several other state laws treat that as “sharing,” and in some cases “selling,” even though no money changes hands.
These cookies are active when you arrive. You do not need to do anything to allow them. You can turn them off at any time using the control below, and it takes effect immediately.
We also run basic website analytics, in anonymized form, so we can see which pages people find useful.
Three things worth knowing:
- Your choice is stored in a cookie in the browser you are using right now. If you switch browsers or devices, you will need to set it again.
- Because your choice is stored in a cookie, clearing your browser cookies for glassjar.io erases it, and advertising cookies become active again.
- Turning off advertising cookies does not stop you from seeing ads. It stops those ads from being targeted based on your activity here.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as an opt out automatically and you do not need to do anything on this page.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt out of sale and sharing for that browser automatically. You do not need to do anything else on this page.
You can learn more, and find browsers and extensions that support it, at globalprivacycontrol.org.
We do not respond to older Do Not Track signals, which never settled on an agreed standard.
Stop receiving marketing email
Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email from us, or email support@glassjar.io and ask to be removed. We will still send messages about your account if you have one.
Access, correct, or delete your information
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and what we do with it
- Get a copy of it, in a portable format
- Correct it if it is wrong
- Delete it
- Opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling
- Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights
To make a request, email support@glassjar.io or call (559) 801-8026. Put the word “Privacy” in your subject line so we route it quickly. Tell us what you want us to do and give us enough detail to find you in our records.
Verification. We will match what you tell us against what we already have. If we cannot confirm it is you, we may ask for a bit more information. We only use whatever you send for verification and then discard it.
Timing. We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you before that deadline and take up to 45 more.
Authorized agents. Someone can make a request for you. We will ask for written proof that you authorized them, and we may contact you directly to confirm.
If we say no. You can appeal by replying to our response with the word “appeal.” We will take another look and write back. If you still disagree, we will tell you how to contact your state attorney general.
Where you live matters
California. You have the rights listed above under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to opt out of sale and sharing, and the right to request information once a year about disclosures for third party direct marketing under the Shine the Light law.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island. You have comparable rights under your stateās comprehensive privacy law, including the appeal right described above.
Nevada. You may separately direct us not to sell certain personal information. Email support@glassjar.io.
Everyone is welcome to make a request regardless of where they live. We will do our best to honor it.
Our launch discount offer
If you signed up for a discount code, that is a financial incentive program under California law, and it is described in full in Section 11 of our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing, and you keep any code already issued to you.
